Italian Pasquetta

Pasquetta is the day after Easter and
it's celebrated all around Italy.
Traditionally, it's a day to head for the
hills with family and friends with a picnic
in the garden which lasts all day.

Maria Capdevielle is a classically
trained pastry chef from Abruzzo, Italy,
and the author of My Sweet Abruzzo.
She is a consulting pastry chef at
several top Bay Area restaurants,
including Chez Panisse!
